Wild Party The Musical
The Wild Party (The) is a musical with book, lyrics, and music by Andrew Lippa. Adapted from a book-length poem of the same name, written in and about the Roaring Twenties.
The Wild Party (The) tells the story of one wild evening in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown. Queenie is fed up with the oft violent life she lives with Burrs, so she decides to throw the party to end all parties to shake things up a little. Burrs agrees and they invite plenty of colorful characters to their home. Queenie decides to make Burrs jealous, and makes a beeline for a mysterious man named Mr. Black and begins to fall in love. After a long night of decadence begins to reach it’s peak, Burrs’ jealousy becomes too much for him and he turns to violence, which eventually leads to his own demise. Queenie is left to decide what is next for her in this violent and tragic 1920s world.

The Wild Party won several Awards.
