Reba McEntire is fondly known as ‘The reigning queen of country music’ and has pursued a musical career since she was 5 and performed with her siblings at rodeos, clubs, and dance halls whilst still in High School. Reba McEntire sang the “Star Spangled Banner” at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City and caught the attention of songwriter Red Steagall, who suggested she consider a career in country music.
