Tremeloes are a British beat band who were founded in 1958 whose most famous hits are “Do You Love Me”  and “Silence Is Golden”.

In 1962, Decca Records was looking to sign a new beat band and auditioned two promising bands, one being Brain Poole and The Tremeloes and the other The BeatlesThe record company signed The Tremeloes and their first song “Twist and Shout” (a cover version of the Isley Brothers hit) charted in 1963. Brian Poole left the band in 1966 to pursue a solo career but rejoined in 2006 as the band toured the UK as part of their 40th Anniversary.
