Tina Turner (November 26, 1939 – May 24 2023), born Anna Mae Bullock, was an American-born Swiss recording artist, dancer, actress and author, whose career spanned more than fifty years, earning her widespread recognition and numerous awards.

She was one of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time, and was often been referred to as “The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Tina Turner received eleven Grammy Awards, including eight competitive awards and three Grammy Hall of Fame awards. She also sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in history. Her combined album and single sales total approximately 100 million copies worldwide, making her one of the biggest selling females in music history.
