Syreeta, was an American singer–songwriter, best known for her music during the early–1970s through the early–1980s. Syreeta’s career highlights were songs involved with her ex–husband Stevie Wonder and musical artist Billy Preston.
She started singing at the age of four and after she finished her education, focused her attention on a music career joining several singing groups, before landing a job as a receptionist for Motown in 1965. From here her singing talent was noticed and she was incorporated into the label’s posse of backing singers before getting a leading vocalist opportunity.
