Steve Harley (born Stephen Malcolm Ronald Nice; 27 February 1951, Deptford, London, England) was an English singer and songwriter, best known as frontman of the rock group Cockney Rebel, with whom he still tours.

Steve Harley began his singing career in London folk clubs in 1971/72.

In February 1975, the song ‘Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me) reached number one on the UK chart and received a gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry in October 2021. It spent nine weeks in the Top 50, and as of 2015, has sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.
