Starship is an American rock band. Initially a continuation of Jefferson Airplane (then Jefferson Starship), it underwent a change in musical direction, after the subsequent loss of key Jefferson Starship personnel, and a lawsuit settlement. Despite all the turmoil, the band produced several hits, many of which featured in movie soundtracks.
Their debut single “We Built This City” was a resounding success and they followed it with “Sara” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” which were both Top 40 hits
