Soundgarden is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1984. The Band achieved its biggest success with the 1994 album Superunknown, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and yielded the Grammy Award-winning singles “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman”

In 2017 Chris Cornell, a founding member of the band died and after several months, the remaining members decided that they would retire the band name. They reunited briefly in 2019 for a tribute concert organised by the wife of Cornell.
