Seekers (The) were a folk pop quartet from Australia, hugely popular in the mid- late sixties. Group members Athol Guy, Bruce Woodley and Keith Potger attended school together and played in various bands before forming The Seekers and recruiting jazz singer Judith Durham. Their debut single was a version of the popular song “Waltzing Matilda” which charted low down in the Australian Top 40.

In 1964 The Seekers travelled to the UK where an intended 10 week stay was extended when they were offered a recording contract. There followed a string of hits including “The Carnival Is Over”, “I’ll Never Find Another You”“Georgy Girl” and many more.

The Seekers have disbanded many times with each member pursuing different careers but periodically they reform to tour. In 2013 they celebrated their 50th anniversary with tours of Australia and the UK.
