Roger Brown is an American singer-songwriter.
He began performing as a teenager at local talent shows and dance halls. Living in Central Texas, when he graduated from high school he got involved in the music scene which led to him being discovered by Monument Records.
He later moved to Nashville and began writing for other artists. Since 1985 he has penned for the likes of Barbra Streisand, Tammy Wynette, George Strait, Trace Adkins, Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, John Michael Montgomery and Randy Travis.
He was nominated for a Tony Award in 2002 and has had compositions featured on numerous gold & platinum albums, as well as major motion pictures.
In 1996, he was signed as an artist released the mini-CD “Roger Brown & Swing City“. He was honoured as Songwriter Of The Year at the 2012 CCMA.
Roger’s songs have been recorded by artists in multiple genres, including country, big band, jazz, Texas/Red Dirt, folk, and bluegrass.
