Radney Foster is an American country music singer / songwriter who, in 1979, dropped out of college to go to Nashville and follow his dream of breaking into the country music scene. Having been unsuccessful he returned to his home-town and continued his studies, singing in clubs and bars in his spare time. In 1985 he returned to Nashville and struck up a partnership with Bill Lloyd. As a duo they recorded 3 studio albums and had 9 singles on the country music charts. The pair split in the early 1990’s to pursue solo careers.

In 1992 Radney Fosters’ debut solo album produced four consecutive Top 40 hits and overall he has had thirteen songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the Top Ten hits “Just Call Me Lonesome” (#10, 1992) and “Nobody Wins” (#2, 1993).
