Pink Martini is a mini orchestral band that was formed in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale. Its music crosses several styles, such as classical, traditional pop, latin and jazz. The lead vocalists of Pink Martini are China Forbes and Storm Large.
As well as the pianist and vocalists, Pink Martini have brass section, percussionists and string section.
Performing songs in 25 languages, the band showcases its multilingual repertoire on concert stages and with symphony orchestras throughout the world. Pink Martini made its European debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 and its orchestral debut with the Oregon Symphony in 1998.
