Peters And Lee (Lennie Peters and Dianne Lee) were a successful British folk/pop duo of the 1970’s. Lennie Peters was totally blind after two unrelated childhood accidents but that didn’t stop him learning to play the piano.  They entered the talent show Opportunity Knocks and won seven times with such songs as “All Change Places”, “I’m Confessin'”, “Let It Be Me” and “All I Ever Need is You”. Once signed to “Philips Records” they recorded “Welcome Home” which reached number 1 in the UK Singles Charts and sold over 800,000 copies. This was followed by a debut album “We Can Make It”, which also reached number 1. Subsequently there were a number of hit singles including “Don’t Stay Away Too Long” and “Hey Mr Music Man”.

Peters and Lee often appeared on television and had a TV series called Meet Peters and Lee which kept them in the spotlight. They split as a duo in 1980 and both pursued separate careers but neither found the same level of success again.

Peters And Lee reunited in 1986 with a new single, “Familiar Feelings”. They also made some TV appearances, performing their new single. The duo went on to record two new albums, one in 1989 and the last in 1992 for their 21st anniversary, before Peters’ death from bone cancer in 1992. Dianne Lee went on to marry Rick Price of Wizzard and continues to perform as a duo with him.
