Paul Weller (born John William Weller, 25.5.1958) is an English singer/songwriter, who first found fame in the punk era, as the singer and guitarist in The Jam – a very successful new-wave styled band. The Jam split in 1982 and Weller formed The Style Council. Not as commercially successful as The Jam, and was disbanded in 1989. Paul Weller then embarked on a successful solo career.
