New Zealand artist Lorde (Ella Yelich-O’Connor) has a grounding in music which has proved its worth. Quietly releasing an EP in 2013 (at the tender age of 17) along with the single “Royals”, gained world recognition in an instant.  Following her breakthrough, she won four New Zealand Music Awards,  “Royals” earned the New Zealand APRA Silver Scroll Awards and at the 2014 Grammy Awards, Lorde won two awards in the categories Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year.
