Lene Marlin is a singer /songwriter hailing from Norway. Her first single “Unforgivable Sinner” reached number one in her home nation and remained there for 8 weeks. Her second single “Sitting Down Here” also did very well in Norway and led into the release of her album “Playing My Game” on March 22 in Norway. In only 3 days the album sold 50,000 copies in Norway alone.
Marlin’s music is often described as pop with a touch of folk and electronica. She has won several awards, including two Norwegian Grammy Awards and an MTV Europe Music Award. In 2008, she was nominated for the Best European Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Her success outside Norway has been limited.
