Lazlo Bane is an American rock band formed in the early 1990s. The band is best known for their hit song “Superman,” which was featured in the television show ‘Scrubs’.

The band was formed in 1992 by vocalist/guitarist Chad Smith, bassist Doug Pinnick, and drummer Ronnie Crespo. The three had played together in a previous band called The Chad Smith Band.

Early on the worked with the front-man of Australian group Men At Work and this proved to be a long-lived partnership.

The band has released several albums and EP’s. They have toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe.

The band’s line-up was added to over the years and they incorporated more instruments into their songs, including violin, saxophone, and piano.

Most band members worked on side projects latterly. Chad Smith notably moved to production and film scoring. Lazlo Bane are credited with the song “Sleepless in Brooklyn” which was featured in the 2005 film ‘Little Manhattan’.
