Kodak Black is an American hip hop recording artist from Florida. He was initially signed to Atlantic Records. He released his debut mixtape, ‘Project Baby’, in December 2013. His debut studio album, ‘Painting Pictures’, was released on March 31, 2017.
Kodak Black was born in 1997 and began rapping in elementary school.
Black was featured on the song “No Flockin” by American rapper Boosie Badazz. The song peaked at number 28 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2016, Black was featured on the song “tunnel vision” by American rapper Lil Wayne. The song peaked at number 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Black’s debut studio album, Painting Pictures, was released on March 31, 2017. The album peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
On November 28, 2019, Black was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges. Whilst incarcerated he released his third studio album, Bill Israel (2020). His fourth studio album, Back for Everything followed in 2022.
