Kiki Dee (born 6 March 1947), is an English singer from Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire. Known for her blue-eyed soul vocals, she was the first female singer from the UK to sign with Motown’s Tamla Records.  She is best known for her 1974 hit “I’ve Got the Music in Me” and “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, her 1976 duet with Elton John.

Dee continued to tour and release records throughout her career, including a duet with Elton John in 2001, “You’re So Cool”. She has also appeared on stage and television, most notably on The Muppet Show in 1978.

In later years, Dee was working with the charity organisation, Oxfam, and was an ambassador for their work in combating poverty and inequality.
