Kenny Loggins is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He began playing guitar at the age of eight and wrote his first song, “Free”, when he was thirteen.

He partnered with Jim Messina on several recordings.  Loggins & Messina were among the most popular folk-based soft rock acts of the first half of the ’70s and enjoyed a four-year string of successful albums before disbanding in 1976.

As a solo artist, Kenny Loggins greatest success came in the 1980s with a series of soundtrack albums for films including ‘Footloose’ and ‘Top Gun’.
