Joni Mitchell, is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Rolling Stone called her “one of the greatest songwriters ever”. Drawing from folk, pop, rock, and jazz, Mitchell’s songs often reflect social and environmental ideals as well as her feelings about romance, confusion, disillusionment, and joy. She has received many accolades, including several Grammy Awards.

Mitchell began her musical career in the 1960s, and released her debut album in 1968.

She has since released more than 20 albums, and her work has been covered by a wide range of artists, including Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, and Prince. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002. In 2019, she was presented with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
