Jimmy Nail is an English singer-songwriter, actor, film producer, and television writer. He is known for his role as Leonard “Oz” Osborne in the hit television show Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, his title role in Spender, and his 1992 number one single, “Ain’t No Doubt“.

He also had hits with “Crocodile Shoes“, and “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore“.

His 1992 album ‘Growing Up in Public’ featured Gary Moore, David Gilmour, Elliot Randall and George Harrison. Crocodile Shoes (released in 1994) was based on the BBC television series of the same name, in which he played an English country songwriter. The album sold more than one million copies in the UK.

‘Big River’ (1995) featured guitarist Mark Knopfler.

Jimmy Nail sang on the film soundtrack for Evita.
