Hazell Dean (née Poole; born 27 October 1952) is an English dance-pop singer, songwriter and producer.

She achieved her biggest success in the 1980s and is best known for the top-ten hits in the United Kingdom “Searchin’ (I Gotta Find a Man)“, “Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go)” and “Who’s Leaving Who“.

Hazell Dean’s musical career began while she was still at school where she she played rhythm guitar in a band called The Vandals. She was also an accomplished drummer and keyboard player.

In 1976 she sang “I Couldn’t Live Without You for a Day” in her bid to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest. She was placed 8th out of 12.
