Foster And Allen are an Irish Country / Folk duo whose career had spanned over 40 years. Mick Foster was born in Co Kildare, was taught how to play accordion by a nun and cites Jimmy Shand and Will Starr as musical influences. Tony Allen, born in Co Westmeath into a musical family, learnt to play accordion when he was given one as a gift.

Foster and Allen played in Irish Country bands at the start and when they toured the UK in 1975, decided that they would prefer to perform as a duo so decided to stay in the UK playing venues in London. They have since released over 30 albums and had success with a string of singles.
