Fairground Attraction were a British folk and soft rock band. They are best known for their hit song “Perfect” and the subsequent single “Find My Love”.
The band consisted of four members; Eddi Reader (vocals and guitar), Mark E. Nevin (vocals, guitar, mandolin, and harmonica), Simon Edwards (double bass and backing vocals), and Roy Dodds (drums and percussion).
In 1987, Fairground Attraction released their first single, “Perfect”, in April 1988. It was an immediate success, reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart. At the 1989 Brit Awards, “Perfect” won the award for best single. The band split in 1990.
