Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1995 by singer and pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody.
With original band member and songwriter Amy Lee on vocals and piano Evanescence slots into the metal/rock genre. Having started off as a Christian band, Evanescence broke into the mainstream market in 2003 with their album “Fallen“. The album sold more than million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy Awards and seven nominations on the world wide stage.
Evanescence toured extensively in their promotion of their next two albums “Anywhere But Home (Live)” and “The Open Door” were massively popular and their fourth studio album is due for release in 2017 accompanied by a live tour of the USA.
