Ella Henderson is an English singer and songwriter. She was a contestant in the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012 and got into the final 12. Her debut single “Ghost” was released in June 2014 and gave Ella Henderson her first number-one song on the UK Singles Chart.

She auditioned for  and won a scholarship place at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire and boarded at the school from the age of 11 to 16.

In 2017 Ella Henderson supported ‘X Factor’ winner and fellow finalist James Arthur on his “Back from the Edge” arena tour and in June that year she featured along with other artists, including Leona Lewis, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, James Arthur, Louisa Johnson and Matt Terry on a cover version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge over Troubled Water”, which was recorded to raise money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire in London earlier that month.
