Don McLean is an American singer / songwriter whose style has always been firmly based in folk due to his friendship with members of a group called The Weavers.
He has garnered over 40 gold and platinum records world-wide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. He continues to tour the world and in June 2011 he performed for an audience of 100,000 at the famous Glastonbury Festival in the UK. As of 2018 Don had completed a 32 date tour of the UK and Ireland and released his 19th studio album.
