Disney Mulan
Mulan is a 1998 American animated musical adventure film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation for Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, and was Disney’s 36th animated feature.
Plot
A brave young woman wants to save the life of her ageing and ailing father. She knows he is destined to be killed in a battle against the Hun leader, so she disguises herself as a man and takes his place in the army. With the help of her guardian dragon Mushu, she becomes a brave and disciplined warrior, along the way learning important lessons about courage, honour and love.
Artist Christina Aguilera sang the track “Reflection” in the original 1998 film when she was just 17 years old. In 2020, a remake of the film saw her performing a new version of the song at age 39 years.
