Diana Ross is an American singer and film / TV actress who came to fame when she and her friends sang in a trio vocal group called The Supremes. From 1961 to 1969 the singers achieved no less that 12 number one hits including “Where Did Our Love Go” and “Stop In The Name Of Love”.

Diana left in 1969 to pursue a solo career and also branched out into film acting for which she received an Academy Award nomination. With her limitless energy, superb vocal talent and amazing flamboyant style, she was set on the road to mega stardom.

She continued as a performer with a career that spanned more than four decades and won several major awards, including a Golden Globe, a Tony Award, and several American Music Awards. Diana Ross was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 as part of The Supremes. In 2006 she recorded I Love You, a collection of love songs and in 2007 was presented with Black Entertainment Television’s Lifetime Achievement Award and a John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts Honours Award.
