David Alexander (1929 – 4 February 1995) was a Welsh singer and entertainer. After leaving school at 16 David Alexander started his working life in the coal mines of South Wales but after a few years, came above ground to work in a factory. Whilst here David Alexander joined a male voice choir and they subsequently appeared on Opportunity Knocks, a popular TV talent show.

As a result of this and some professional advice, David decided to get a playlist together and toured extensively all over the UK until he finally released his single “If I Could See The Rhondda One More Time”. From there on in David’s popularity grew and he became an international star.
