DAVE

Dave – David Orobosa Omoregie (born 5 June 1998) is a British rapper.

In 2016 he released “Funky Friday”, featuring Fredo, which became his first number-one song on the UK Singles Chart and his first platinum certified release. His debut album, released in 2019 hit the top if the album charts in the UK. It went on to win the Mercury Prize, and Album of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards.

He began composing music at an early age and writing lyrics at 11. He taught himself piano after receiving an electric keyboard as a gift.

He studied law, philosophy, ethics at college and secured a place at University but never attended, choosing instead to focus on his musical career.

At age 19 Dave was the youngest ever winner of an Ivor Novello Award.

In 2021 his sophomore album was announced and the lead single, “Clash” featuring Stormzy, was released. It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Charts.
