Creedence Clearwater Revival, was an American rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford. Their musical style was a mix of rock, folk, blues and country.

Creedence Clearwater Revival was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and were honoured with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. The band has also been part of the VH1 list of “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock” and Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.” They have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and are recognised as one of the most influential and important American rock bands of all time.

After four years of chart-topping success, the group disbanded in 1972, but their music is still played regularly around the world.
