Christina Grimmie – Christina Victoria Grimmie (March 12, 1994 – June 10, 2016) was an American singer-songwriter and actress known for participating in the NBC talent show, ‘The Voice’. Grimmie began posting cover videos of herself singing songs by contemporary artists on YouTube in 2009. Her videos began to gain traction, earning her national recognition and over 3 million subscribers on her main YouTube channel and over 900,000 followers on her secondary channel.

Throughout her career, she released four independent albums and one EP. Her YouTube videos also attracted the attention of various labels and in 2011, she was signed with Creative Artist Agency. In 2013, Grimmie participated in the singing competition show ‘The Voice’, finishing as the runner-up. Following the show, she released her debut single “Find Me”, which charted on US Billboard charts, and released her EP ‘Find Me’, which peaked at number 13 on the chart.

Grimmie’s career was cut tragically short following an attack by a deranged fan in June 2016. Following her death, her friends and fellow musicians held memorials and events in her memory. Her admirers created a charity foundation in her name and she was posthumously honoured with the Inspiration Award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
