B.O.B. Bobby Ray Simmons Jr. (born November 15, 1988), known professionally as B.o.B, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Decatur, Georgia.

B.o.B decided at a young age that he wanted to pursue a music career. His parents supported him by buying a keyboard and sourcing equipment for him.  He attended High School where he played the trumpet in the school band, but dropped out of school in the ninth grade (age 14 or 15). By the time he was 16 he was signed to a record label.

He first began to gain recognition at the start of 2007 with the single, “Haterz Everywhere“.

His debut studio album was released in 2010. Bruno Mars was featured B.o.B’s debut single from the album, “Nothin’ on You“. Three other singles followed: “Don’t Let Me Fall“, “Airplanes” (Hayley Williams), and “Bet I” (featuring T.I. and Playboy Tre).

In 2011 his popularity was further enhanced when he appeared as a guest on the Jessie J song “Price Tag”.
