Alison Loren Sudol (born December 23, 1984) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and writer. She is known as the singer A Fine Frenzy, and also for her supporting role as Queenie Goldstein in the Fantastic Beasts series.
In 2007, she released her first studio album, One Cell in the Sea. The album quickly received rave reviews, and featured the hit single “What I Wouldn’t Do.” The album included a collaboration with former White Stripes singer/guitarist Jack White.
In 2009, Sudol wrote and starred in the independent film, Dorian Blues. The film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival, and won several awards. That same year, she released her second studio album, Bomb in a Birdcage. In 2011, she wrote the album, Pines, which was released in 2012.
In 2016, Sudol was cast in the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. She reprised her role as Queenie Goldstein in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Aside from her varied artistic endeavours, Sudol is also an advocate for mental health awareness, gender equality, and human rights. She is an ambassador for the nonprofit organisation Free The Bid, which works to create equal representation for female directors.
