Ringo Starr is an English singer songwriter and actor who gained fame as the drummer for the Beatles.

Born Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940, in Liverpool, England, he joined the Beatles in 1962 and played on their most famous songs, including “Hey Jude,” “Let It Be,” and “Come Together.” Starr also contributed vocals to hit songs such as “Yellow Submarine” and “With a Little Help from My Friends.”

After the Beatles’ breakup in 1970, Starr embarked on a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums and hit singles. Some of his most popular solo songs include “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Photograph,” and “You’re Sixteen.”

Besides his music career, Starr has also acted in various movies, including the Beatles’ films “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Help!” He has also appeared in TV shows and lent his voice to animated movies. Throughout his career, Starr has received numerous accolades, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Beatles and as a solo artist.
