UB40 are a reggae band from the West Midlands in the UK who topped the UK singles chart on three occasions and sold 70 million records. The band has had more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart, have been nominated for a Grammy Award four times, and in 1984 were nominated for a Brit Award for Best British Group. The ethnic make-up of the band’s original line-up was diverse, with musicians of English, Irish, Jamaican, Scottish and Yemeni parentage. During their three-decade long career, they have been performing sell-out shows worldwide.
