Turnpike Troubadours is an American country music group from Oklahoma founded in 2005. Original members including Evan Felker and R.C. Edwards. They started their own imprint, Bossier City Records, in 2007 in order to have a recording to sell at live shows. They have since released five studio albums.
The Troubadours are known for their unique blend of heartfelt ballads, upbeat two-steppers, and rollicking honky-tonkers that all stand out from the pack. They are true troubadours, with their music having an impact on the lyric and overall sound of the entire Americana and Red Dirt Music genres. The Turnpike Troubadours have managed to be a mainstay in the independent music scene and continue to be a powerful force on the country music circuit.
