Terry Wogan
Sir Michael Terence Wogan (3 August 1938 – 31 January 2016) was an Irish radio and television broadcaster who worked for the BBC in the UK for most of his career.
In 1978, Terry Wogan recorded a version of “The Floral [Furry] Dance” which reached No. 21 in the UK music charts. Wogan’s version was accompanied by the Hanwell Band from west London.
In 2008, Wogan and singer Aled Jones released a single “Little Drummer Boy”/”Peace on Earth”, which got to number three in the UK music charts. The money raised went to BBC Children in Need. The two recorded a second Christmas single “Silver Bells” in 2009, which was also in aid of BBC Children in Need.
