Sunset Boulevard is a 1950’s musical film which revolves around the former star of the silent screen era, Norma Desmond.
Sunset Boulevard was nominated for 11 Academy Awards (including nominations in all four acting categories) and won three. It is often ranked among the greatest movies ever made. In 1998, it was ranked number 12 on the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 best American films of the 20th century, and in 2007, it was 16th on their 10th Anniversary list. The film was adapted for stage by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 1993.
