Shakespears Sister is a British Group formed in 1988 by ex Bananarama singer Siobhan Fahey after she split from the group. She recorded and performed on her own for a while before being joined by American singer Marcella Detroit. As a duo they released 2 top 10 Albums in the UK and a string of Top 40 hits, including “Stay”, which stayed at number 1 for 8 weeks.
Although the duo split in 1993, Shakespears Sister continued to perform and release albums and singles, though none ever reached the success of “Stay”. The group reformed in 2009 and in 2019 they toured and released the single, “All the Queen’s Horses”.
