Semisonic is an American alternative rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1995. The band has three members: Dan Wilson (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), John Munson (bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboards, guitar), and Jacob Slichter (drums, percussion, keyboards). Prior to Semisonic, 2 of the band members formed part of the group ‘Trip Shakespeare’.
Semisonic’s second album ‘Feeling Strangely Fine’ was released in 1998. Its lead single “Closing Time” topped the modern rock charts and the follow-up singles “Singing In My Sleep” and “Secret Smile” became hits in the U.K. and the US.
