Olivia Newton John (26 September 1948 – 8 August 2022) was born in Cambridge, England in 1948 and then moved to Australia with her family in the 1950’s. She entered and won a TV talent contest and by 1963 was appearing regularly on television. She was most famous for her role playing “Sandy” in the iconic film/musical Grease, but already had a successful career as a singer before this. Olivia Newton John garnered multiple awards including Grammy’s, Country Music, American Music and Peoples Choice Awards, ten Number 1 hits including “Physical,” which topped the charts for ten consecutive weeks.
