Noah and the Whale are a British indie folk band formed in 2006. The band released their debut album, Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down, in 2008 and it peaked at Number 5 on the official UK Album Chart. Noah and the Whale consists of members, Charlie Fink (vocals and guitar), Tom Hobden (violin and keyboards), Matt Owens (bass), Fred Abbot (guitar and keyboards) and Michael Petulla (drums). Doug Fink was the original drummer but left to pursue a career in medicine and the female vocalist, Laura Marling left to follow her solo career. They continue to write and produce music and even made a full length film to accompany their 2011 album Last Night On Earth. They have toured extensively throughout the world and receive positive reviews and critical acclaim from the industry and media.
