Nicola Roberts rose to fame as part of the manufactured girl group Girls Aloud .
In 2011, Roberts released her debut solo album and the debut single “Beat of My Drum” followed by the singles “Lucky Day” and “Yo-Yo” which all gained positive critical responses but failed commercially.
In 2012 Girls Aloud reformed and in 2013 and went on tour but split again soon after.
Nicola Roberts has been concentrating on her make-up range and campaigning against such things as bullying and tanning bed use for under 18’s.
In February 2020, Roberts won the first series of ITV’s The Masked Singer UK, masked as Queen Bee and in 2021 returned in the final of the second series as a guest judge.
