Nelly, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, investor, and occasional actor from St. Louis, Missouri.
He began his music career with a band before turning solo in 2000.
Nelly has won multiple accolades throughout his career including Grammy Awards and Billboard Music Awards. In 2005, he starred in the film The Longest Yard, alongside Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. He also has two clothing lines. Nelly was ranked as the fourth-best-selling rap artist in American music history in 2014, with 21 million albums sold in the United States. In December 2009, Billboard ranked him the number three Top Artist of the Decade (2000s).
He has collaborated with other artist such as Kelly Rowland, Janet Jackson, Tim McGraw, Pharrell Williams and Nicki Minaj.
