Liam Lawton

Liam Lawton (born 12 December 1963) is an Irish composer, singer and songwriter.

Liam’s musical career began as a member of the band In Tua Nua. He has released several solo albums, including his seasonal offering ‘The Celtic Advent’.

Liam was born in Wexford, Ireland. His father was a musician and his mother a singing teacher. He has four brothers and one sister. He was educated at St. Peter’s College, Wexford and the College of Music, Dublin.

Liam has composed music for film, television and theatre, including the score for the Oscar-nominated film Philomena. He has also written a number of choral works.

Liam is a committed Christian and is involved in a number of charitable organisations. He has been a patron of the Mary’s Meals charity and also ambassador for the charity Concern Worldwide.
