Kate Nash is an English singer-songwriter and actress. Her debut album ‘Made Of Bricks’ (2007) gave her her first hit single “Foundations”. The rest of 2007 saw her performing at the many music festivals in the UK, including the famous Glastonbury. As of 2018, Kate Nash had released 4 studio albums to mixed reviews.

‘Made of Bricks’, which peaked at number one in the UK and was certified platinum. Her second album, ‘My Best Friend Is You’, was released in 2010 and reached the top 10 in the UK. Nash has also released several EPs.

Nash’s music is a mix of pop, indie rock and punk. She has been compared to Lily Allen and Patti Smith. Nash has been nominated for several awards, including Brit Awards, NME Awards and Grammy Awards. In 2013, she was named the best female artist at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Kate Nash began playing piano when she was six years old and guitar when she was 14. She began writing songs when she was 16. Nash’s first gig was with her friend’s band, The Rebeccas, at the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2005.

She has appeared in the films An Education (2009), Me and Orson Welles (2009) and Powder Room (2013). Nash has also appeared in the television series Gossip Girl (2011) and Girls (2012).
