Julie Andrews is an English actress, singer, dancer, and author. She is the recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, three Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and an Honorary Oscar.

Andrews began her performing career on the West End in 1948, and made her Broadway debut in The Boy Friend (1954). She rose to prominence starring in numerous musical films, including Mary Poppins (1964), The Sound of Music (1965), The Princess Diaries (2001), and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). In 2000, she was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II for services to the performing arts.
